"NoMan"

To celebrate what we hope will be the last snow of the year, we built a "noman" today. Our neighbor, Charlie, came outside and offered to capture the 4 of us on film. He's lived next door for over 40 years. We enjoy his unsollicted wisdom and theories about life and he lets us use his power tools. He's of the opinion that "these kids these days..." about everything. In these monologues we hear a longing for something familiar and to that, we can relate. Charlie's just one of the people that make these days special. Looking forward to spring....

Animal Sounds

Turner spent the evening with Jim this week. The following video is an excerpt from their night. In addition to this, you can be sure that Turner brought every book from Ben's bookshelf out to Jim and said "read." Jim is quite good at the voices in a story!

The video is the SAT of animal noises. At the end, Turner becomes a stand up comedian - making himself laugh as much as the viewer. class clown potential.

The Helping Man

As you can see from the photos, Turner is quite the helper.

Turner highlights from the past few weeks:

He gave his namesake, Turner Buford, the nickname "Man." It fits him well.
He saw his first Celtics game - Craig Smith playing with the Timberwolves.
He identified a square today - "Scare?"
First time sledding riding - with William and Martha. Even though he'd never done it before nor ever really seen it, when I put him in the sled with Martha, he smiled and said, "go go." He then began to rock the sled forward as if was training for the Jamaican Blobsled team. Glee all over his face as they went sliding down the hill. Sadly, there was no camera there to capture this scene for you.

Turner has also been very interested in Ben from downstairs. When he sees him, he quickly asseses whether Ben is "wake" or "seep." When Ben crys, Turner looks at one of us and says, "kying - milk?" Tonight, Jim and Katie asked us to watch him for a few minutes - so then we asked Turner if he wanted to hold him. Here he is being a big neighbor...

Have a nice weekend everyone!
