The week's highlights

Clearly, the highlight is Jane's baptism. Friends and family from so many parts of our life gathered around the "River Jordan" as Fr. Neenan referred to the very cold flowing baptismal font in the chapel. We were so engaged in it, however that we forgot to take pictures. Sorry about that one. But, as it is Sacrament perhaps we don't need pictures. We welcomed Jane into a way of seeing the world - the world as graced and she as an important part of such blessing. I'm convinced that the babies already know this in their newborn wisdom, it is the community around the font that needs the reminding. In this, Jane is gift to us once again.

Some of our favorite things from last week that we did record:

The dishwasher - this is our nap failsafe - you can expect to find Jane here around 5:30 - 6:00 every night.

As for Turner he is busy NOT taking naps and playing in his special room. In it, you will find an animal that he has locked in the safe overnight to make it "nice." He is very curious as to which animals are nice, which are mean and which are wild. Here you see the Walrus receiving the nice treatment. The lion gets put in there a lot too.

Finally, a day with Sadie, Max, Caitlin & Sara.

Jane's Six Weeks

We've received feedback about the blog. Jane has been grossly under represented in the past weeks. We admit, this is true. Turner demands to have the top billing spot, so contractually, we are in a tough position. We hope these pictures appease...

She's 9 lbs and 7 oz. She's sleeping in 3 hour chunks - I really don't believe people that say their baby always slept through the night, its my only alternative to hating them - and recently, she started smiling the cutest little grin.

Lots to share

Hi Everyone!

We have a little back log on stories to share. Here goes...

At the end of 2007, Russ' diner - a favorite spot of ours - ended too. Turner and Matt spent many mornings eating poached eggs and mickey pancakes in the past few years allowing Catherine to catch up on sleep. Russ' was also the spot that Jim and Katie took Turner the morning we went into labor. When they walked in the regulars were quick to ask if I was at the hospital - Katie promised to call them later in the day with the good news.

Places like this are rare - its sad to see them close. Here's Turner with his last Mickey and Toni.

Turner's everydays now include his petting zoo - a set of 26 animals that he will play with for hours - see them all lined up here. (They are watching a circus.)

Also, swim classes! In addition to keeping him afloat, his teachers have to listen to the multiple animal noises he makes during the class - monkeys, penguins, rhino's - his imagination is alive. Funny story from last time. I was trying to navigate through the locker room with the stroller and Turner, made a wrong turn and Jane saw her first naked man in the men's locker room. oops!

And movies - for people who don't have a T.V. we've created an addict. Here's Turner enjoying his favorite "Max and Ruby." If you've heard their opening song, you'd understand why he has is own personal sound system.

Finally, in the midst of all the busyness - we find a few minutes for rest on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
