A Birthday Trip to NJ
Cousins Gus and Charlie turned 5 over the 4th of July holiday. The kids and I traveled south for the fun. The trip had all the excitement we were looking for while Matt was busy preparing the school's summer session. Uncle Chris as the water balloon target topped the chart on the best things list. Close behind was Jane's reaction to a Five Guys after sitting in an hour of a traffic jam somewhere in the middle of New Jersey - seriously, those highways are a bit nutty (Kathy are you reading this?) All 4 big kids working on a space ship for Hank to use. Jane "helping me" nurse Hank back to sleep in the middle of the night, the scavenger hunt at the birthday party, playing with Aunt Mary and meeting her beau Khalid, and, for me - pulling into to Nativity at 10:00 p.m. on Friday night just in time for the kids to watch the fireworks with their dad - it made the drive home! Happy Birthday Gus and Charlie!
