Trips on Tuesdays

We have been venturing out on Tuesday mornings to appreciate this great city that we live in. I love taking the kids downtown to see their reactions. Last week I ran into some old friends from Boston Renaissance Charter School - remember when I was still a teacher ;) and Turner went just about crazy when he saw the T-rex outside of the Boston Science Museum. He loved the space shuttle and a little bit of the electricity show - really, it doesn't change. 25 years later they are still making people's hair stand straight up. Jane broke out of her stroller long enough to teeth on the dinosaur fossils and then she was back to the observation deck.

Turner has also been quite the artist lately - here's his latest water color - yes, he's using protective goggles. Jane is smiling with almost 6 teeth on top and none on the bottom yet - I'm a little worried she is like my Grandpa Wiecher who was missing multiple teeth even at 73!

Today we made it to the Children's Museum with our friends Audrey and Alice Howell. I forgot the camera - but a quick snap shot into the day: We visited in the Japanese house and had to take our shoes off - Turner said tonight to his Jaguar, "I was in Japan today and they don't wear shoes there." He charmed Alice and Audrey by telling them that they could borrow our computer b/c theirs was broken and that he was going to miss Audrey (2) when she left. Jane LOVED the water room. We think she might be a gungan (star wars anyone - a new interest of Turner's). They live underwater but can walk on land - they are very clumsy when they do it, however.

Coming later this week - Turner's Birthday celebrations - why have one party when you can celebrate for a few weeks. 4 years!
