Henry was baptized the Sunday before Thanksgiving at St. Peter's church in Mansfield, Ohio. This is the same church that Matt and I were married in and where I grew up. Sharing it with that community was very special.
Sr. Paula, the librarian at my elementary school, was baptized in the same fount and on the same day 79 years prior to Hank's day.
He wore the gown that has been in the Brunell family for 150 years and the bonnet that Grandma Martha Wiecher made and all of the Wiecher cousins have been baptized in. He also had on Ohio State shoes from Niall Ryan.
The story from Turner's perspective: Nanny and Papa were there - Grandma and Grandpa - Dave and Cristina and Georgia and the oil was on Hanky. Jane tried to baptize herself by reaching into the water.
Grandma and Grandpa through us a party afterwards with Mufaletto sandwiches and lots rum cake and buckeyes!
Turner would also like to share some photos from our trip home - yes it was 13 hours in the car but we had a lot of fun - Here Turner is helping Jane all the way to the top of the Mc Donald's playland:
