Celebrating Jane

We had a small party today for Jane in anticipation of her 6th Birthday next week.  A trip to Build-a-Bear with a few friends and Hank was perfect.  In this season of Thanksgiving, it is so easy to be grateful for our little girl.  She is silly, thoughtful, endearing, reserved at times and out loud in many others, nurturing and self-sufficient until the only thing that works is a hug at the right moment.

Some of you might recognize Matt's Pumpkin Ice-Cream Pie as Jane's cake!
It is quickly becoming a tradition and a favorite in our house.

I've got Oatmeal in my cheeks!

A smile you could only be born with.  Anyone see Grandma Jane?

What do you mean I'm about to have a little brother?  I'm still a baby!

Oh - but how much fun it has been!
Only recently Hank has begun to wonder...
"Why does Jane always make the rules?"

Always in costume or ready for an event!
Here she is in character for Gingerbread decorating.

Loving each special addition that comes to our house.
